Concessions & Front Gate – Staff/Interns

The Sawtooth Sockeyes are seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our Game Day Operations team for the remainder of the 2026 summer season (through July 27). Concessions & Front Gate Interns play a key role in creating a great fan experience by welcoming guests, assisting with ticket scanning, selling concessions, and helping ensure smooth game-day operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone interested in sports management, event operations, customer service, or working in a fun baseball environment.

Position Details

  • Seasonal Internship / Part-Time
  • June and July 2026
  • Primarily weekday evenings (6-10pm) and some weekends
  • Home games played at Wolfe Field in Caldwell, Idaho
  • Approximate shift length: ~4+ hours per game

Responsibilities

Front Gate Operations

  • Welcome fans and provide a positive first impression
  • Scan and validate tickets using handheld devices
  • Assist guests with seating questions and stadium information
  • Help monitor entry gates and maintain orderly fan flow
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the event

Concessions Operations

  • Operate concession stands during games
  • Take guest food, soda, snack orders using an iPad POS system
  • Process cash and credit card transactions on the iPad
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of concession areas
  • Restock inventory during games as needed
  • Follow food handling and safety procedures

General Game Day Support

  • Arrive 60 minutes prior to first pitch
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of game-day operations
  • Help maintain a clean, family-friendly ballpark environment
  • Work collaboratively with other interns and staff members
  • Represent the Sawtooth Sockeyes in a professional manner

Qualifications

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to work evenings, some weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Previous customer service, retail, food service, or sports experience is a plus but not required
