Andy is a native Idahoan and a 1992 graduate of Boise State University where he was a 5 year letterman for Men’s Golf. A 1987 member of the Meridian High School Athletic Hall of Fame for Golf and 2-time Idaho Junior Champion (Idaho Golf Association and Idaho Junior Golf Association), Andy’s true passion is baseball which led him into coaching in 1998. He has since been a high school and college (Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and 2007 League Champion in the now defunct Boise Collegiate Summer League) coach for over 30 years along with his duties as a MLB Associate Scout covering Idaho for 25 years most recently with the Cincinnati Reds.
Andy owns and operates Swenson Baseball Co. (EST. 2002) and Swenson Athletics, LLC (EST. 2010) outfitting high school, college, and professional teams and players across the country. He also owns and operates the Intermountain Collegiate Baseball League (ICL) and two ABA professional basketball teams, the Idaho Outlaws and the Reno Rogues.
