Jared Tims

Jared graduated from Canyon High School (Anaheim Hills, CA) where he played baseball and basketball. After graduating high school, he went to Fullerton JC where he red-shirted his freshman year before going to Pacifica College (Anaheim, CA).

From Pacifica College, he went to Hope International University (Fullerton, CA) on a scholarship where he pitched for 2 years and received his bachelor’s degree in business. Jared returned to Hope International as a graduate assistant where he worked with the pitching staff doing analytics and pitch design when they went to back-to-back NAIA Regional Tournaments all while getting his MBA.

While working with the Hope International Royals and hitting coach Joe DeMarco with Elite Baseball in Southern California, he also worked with big leaguers Gerrit Cole, Matt Chapman, Matt McLain, Walker Buehler, Josh Staumont, and many more. In his free time, he is a freelance writer and scout focusing on the Minor League system for the Angels.

Jared is the current pitching coach for the Middleton High School (Idaho) varsity baseball team under Head Coach Bryan Swygart. He lives in Middleton, Idaho with his wife Tyler and dogs Mel and Cal.
